Training Unit

Police Services Division
Clandestine Drug Labs pose serious and unique health and safety issues for employees, municipalities and citizens.
The goal of the Municipal Health and Safety Association’s Mobile Clandestine Drug Lab training unit is to help each of these parties to:
- Recognize the activities of Clandestine Drug Lab Operations
- Recognize the physical and chemical hazards associated with Clandestine Labs
- Recognize the biological and client based hazards of persons associated with Clan Labs
The Municipal Health and Safety Association’s Mobile Clandestine Drug Laboratory is a practical simulator learning vehicle that allows clients to view first hand, what Marihuana and Hashish Grow Operations look like and how to identify the health and safety hazards associated with these operations. The participants also experience a Chemical Lab operation typical of Clandestine Methamphetamine Production, with a similar goal of hazard recognition and awareness.
This unique and realistic Mobile Training Unit is intended to assist participants with the:
Identification of Clandestine Drug Lab activities
- Identification of hazards associated with Clandestine Drug Labs
- Identification of health, safety, environmental and other compounding issues associated with Clandestine Drug Labs.
- Identification of Personal Protective Equipment and other measures required to protect workers required to enter, knowingly or unknowingly into Clandestine Labs.
Caution: The method of production utilized in the Chemical Production of Methamphetamine may be disturbing to some.
Cost: The Municipal Health and Safety Mobile Clandestine Drug Lab training unit is available at a cost of $1,500 per day. This cost includes the use of the unit as a viewing aid and our presenter(s) will be on hand to provide background information and resource material.
M.H.S.A. also offers a 6 hour interactive training session, utilizing the Clan Lab Mobile Training Unit to assist workplace parties (Employers, Supervisors and Workers) who may be more directly involved in the detection and remediation of harm, caused by Clandestine Drug lab activities. This training session is specifically intended to assist theses persons in achieving their legislated commitments under Health and Safety and other applicable legislation.
