Motor vehicle incidents are the leading cause of work-related fatalities in Ontario. Every six minutes someone in Ontario is injured in a traffic incident and in Ontario, the direct and indirect cost of motor vehicle incidents is over 9 billion dollars a year.
In response to these alarming statistics, the Municipal Health and Safety Association has developed a new Winter Driving Program, designed to provide training to all municipal staff that are at risk from motor vehicle incidents.
This half day training program will teach participants the primary risk factors associated with a road crash, how to prevent road crashes and the driving habits to prevent road crashes.
The program is now available. If you would like to register for an upcoming session, contact your local MHSA Client Service Specialist, using the Contact Information section of this website.
